Silos with a conical bottom

MYSILO metal silos with a conical bottom

  • MYSILO metal silos with a conical bottom are used on modern elevators as operational containers, temporarily accumulating wet or dry grain.

  • Silos with a conical bottom are located near the working tower and ensure uninterrupted operation of cleaning machines and grain dryers. The conical bottom allows you to quickly and easily unload the grain from the silo.

MYSILO is the only company in the world that uses corrugated steel with the shortest wavelength of 65 mm (2,56″).

When calculating the strength of the silo structure, the wavelength of the sheet must be taken into account – the shorter the wavelength, the stronger the structure.

MYSILO offers galvanized coating as standard 600 gr. / m² (competitors have this as an option). The service life of such a bunker is 120% longer compared to the competitor’s standard quality galvanized coating of 275 – 350 gr. / m².

At all points of connection of the sheets of the side walls of the silo and stiffeners, high-quality bolts Grade 8 (10.9K) with DACROMET 500 coating are used, which protects against corrosion and significantly increases the service life.

Polyethylene conical washers of high density are also used.

MYSILO roofs come in standard galvanization of 600 g/m2 with a sheet quality of 420 N/mm2 (61,000 kg/cm3), which is unique among other silo manufacturers.

The roof structure can be designed taking into account a maximum wind speed of 209 km/h, a snow load of 196 kg/m2 and a maximum peak load on the center of the roof of 13,608 kg.

All MYSILO roofs are equipped with an inspection hatch, which has reliable protection against atmospheric influences.

MYSILO uses S350GD+Z galvanized hot-dip galvanizing to produce stiffeners. The stiffeners have a double-sided zinc coating of 600 g/m2.

Hot and frost-resistant mastic is used in the joints of the sidewall sheets to ensure excellent sealing in all climatic conditions.
